CASI President Tour

Hello everyone!

CASI President’s tour is next week January 21st, 2015. We are proud to welcome Iain Christie, CASI’s new president!

This past June, the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute (CASI) announced the election of Dr. Iain Christie as President of CASI for the 2014-15 term. It is an honour for CASI Quebec and CASI Concordia to welcome him on this occasion.

In addition to his role as CASI President, Dr. Christie is the Executive Vice President of the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (AIAC), a member-driven, not-for-profit, national organization that promotes and facilitates Canadian competitiveness in the global aerospace industry.

Dr. Christie has a long history of achievement in the space industry, having spent 22 years with Neptec Design Group, a specialist in spaceflight engineering. He has worked at NASA’s Johnson Space Center training astronauts, including Canadian Chris Hadfield, and in the Space Shuttle Mission Control Center. Mr. Christie headed Neptec’s Research and Development (R&D) and Business Development efforts before his appointment as President in 2007 and Chief Executive Officer in 2010.
